Brian Blade’s Fellowship nominated for Grammy (2015)
The album “Landmarks” by Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band was nominated in 2015 for a Grammy in the category of “Best Jazz Instrumental Album.”
The Fellowship Band includes Jon Cowherd, Chris Thomas, Melvin Butler and Myron Walden. Brian Blade says while the Grammy nomination is humbling, it was never part of the plan when he and the Fellowship Band started out. This was The Fellowships’ fourth album and a return to the Blue Note label.
